- Admission requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial engineering, Energy Efficiency or a comparable degree of seven semesters or 210 ECTS. Further details can be found in the admission regulations. Students who have only 180 ECTS at the beginning of their studies can acquire an additional 30 CP in selected modules. In these cases, the duration of the Master's programme is extended by one semester. Reliable and certified English or German language skills are required.full text

This degree programme prepares you to become a qualified specialist in the field of mechanical engineering. The programme lasts three semesters and leads to a Master of Engineering (MEng). The course initially offers advanced modules in general mechanical engineering and modules in management and project management.
- How it is organised
- The Master's degree course in Mechanical Engineering is divided into three parts in the first two semesters. One part of the curriculum (10 CP) consists of two modules with 5 CP each, which are compulsory.
- Internships
- Students may undertake voluntary internships in order to gain insight into industrial work in Germany. This enables students to take a practical approach to their Master's theses.
- Part-time work
- Research and innovative work for the Master's thesis is usually carried out in cooperation with local industries.
- Support for international students
- Every semester begins with an introduction week and a welcome session. Students are introduced to the new course of study and to the events and formalities in their new study environment.
