The programme

The structure of the Master's course of study reflects our opinion that no one is more able than you to decide what is missing from your profile. That's why the programme does not include any obligatory modules, only elective modules. From the present "menu" of both English-taught and German-taught modules, applicants individually choose six modules (10 ECTS each). At least three out of six have to be core modules. Up to three supplementary modules can be chosen.
How it is organised
CORE MODULES Financial and Managerial Accounting (10 ECTS, ENGLISH) Asset Management (10 ECTS, ENGLISH) Cash and Treasury Management (10 ECTS, ENGLISH) Commercial Bank Management (10 ECTS, ENGLISH) International Finance (10 ECTS, ENGLISH) International and Monetary Economics (10 ECTS, ENGLISH)…
Part-time work
Due to the intensive nature of the programme, students have limited time for part-time jobs. Assistant lecturer positions can sometimes be offered at the university, but they are not guaranteed before enrolment.
Degree
Joint or double degree with a partner university.

From your country

General requirements for master's applicants. Rules change — confirm with the university and your local German mission.

🇮🇳 Applying from India
  • An APS India certificate is mandatory before your visa appointment — processing takes weeks, so start it the day you decide to apply.
  • Budget for the blocked account (€11,904 for one year in 2026 — verify the current amount with the German Embassy).
  • IELTS/TOEFL is typically required; some universities accept a Medium-of-Instruction letter — check the official program page.

🇳🇬 Applying from Nigeria
  • Proof of funds is usually a blocked account; open it early — transfers and verification take time.
  • WAEC/NECO results are assessed via uni-assist for most universities; a Studienkolleg year may be required for bachelor's entry.
  • Visa appointment slots in Lagos and Abuja book out months ahead — book as soon as you have an admission letter.

🇻🇳 Applying from Vietnam
  • APS Vietnam certification applies to Vietnamese applicants — schedule the document check before university deadlines.
  • Most universities want IELTS 6.0–6.5 for English-taught programs; requirements vary by program.
  • Plan finances around the blocked account plus health insurance — both are checked at the visa stage.

🇧🇩 Applying from Bangladesh
  • Document verification is strict: keep certificates, transcripts, and bank papers consistent and genuine — discrepancies sink applications.
  • The blocked account is the standard proof of funds. You do not need an admission letter to open one, so set it up alongside your applications.
  • Apply to several programs in parallel — visa processing in Dhaka can be slow, and an early admission letter buys you time.

Living in Zweibrücken

A pond with a tall fountain in the middle of the Zweibrücken rose garden, with purple flowers on the bank, wire sculptures of animals on the lawn and tall trees behind

A small rose city on the Saarland border, with a compact applied-sciences campus, a state stud farm and a train to Saarbrücken every hour.

Zweibrücken has about 33,000 residents and sits at the western edge of Rhineland-Palatinate, right next to the Saarland. The Hochschule Kaiserslautern runs one of its three campuses here, on the hill called the Kreuzberg, where a US Army barracks once stood.
